Separating orders are after the calculation interest the most important bases of calculation of the private life and old age pension insurance. They describe the contraction process of a person's group caused by death or disablement.

In a dying board separately according to sex the usually following values for the age x=1 to 100 (or another final age) are specified:

• the age ung sex-dependent probabilities of dying population q (x)
• the number of l (x) in each case up to the age of the x survivors of a fictitious collective, which starts with 100.000 zero-year old and becomes "suspended" for each year (x) the agespecific probabilities of dying q (x).
• per age year the x dying D (x) of the fictitious person's group.

If the board is used for the calculation by contributions or covering resetting of a tariff, then probabilities of dying are used, which in relation to the "realistic" values with and/or - anticipated payments are provided.

The dying boards (pension boards), used for for the calculation of private old-age pensions, consider the rising life expectancy. The anzusetztende probability of dying depends thereby not only on the age x but also on Geburtsjahrgang. The two-dimensional board with a age shift, developing thereby, is partly simplified to a linear board.

For the computation of occupation and disability pensions invalid boards are used. Probabilities for Invalidisierung, Reaktiverung and number of deaths are set.
