Moisture damages at buildings are usually due to lack of building or age features.

Danger for the health

Moisture damages can cause mold fungus and genuine dry rot, and thus a serious danger for the health of the inhabitants of a damp dwelling to represent. Infections of the respiratory system or asthma can develop.

Causes find

Basis for the reorganization must be always an objective appraisal, which puts the causes out clearly and which considers individual case basic data. For humidity in the brick-work there are different reasons. First according to kind of the penetration one differentiates:

Oppressive water

Particularly in areas with high ground-water level oppressive water is a problem. Here buildings are often built in a tub, in order to prevent the contact of the building with the groundwater. With oppressive water grouting methods do not help in general.

Not oppressive water

Also without pressure water can penetrate in brick-work and ascend in this. By the capillary action the humidity, which is present in the soil, ascends over the earthaffecting parts of the construction into the wall. There it can rise up to 3 highly. Leaky roofs or facade damages are in addition, frequent reasons for humidity problems.

Procedure for the recovery

A suitable procedure and a respectable enterprise for the reorganization of the buildings concerned to find, become frequently difficult. A good point of approach for this are architects with relevant spheres of activity or the local chambers of trade. Also the at the building offers objective consultation and construction supervision with the reorganization.

A solution with ascending humidity is bringing in a horizontal barrier. If the humidity penetrates however by roof or defective fronts, the defects are to be repaired to dry and the damp brick-work afterwards. With oppressive water the situation presents itself substantially more complicated, since drainage and/or be kept away by suitable materials the water must be put from the brick-work.
