Mechanical engineering and metal professional association (MMBG) is a commercial professional association and thus carrier of the legal accident insurance. It forms a central administrative body, whose head office is settled in Duesseldorf since 1994 together with the hut and rolling mill professional association (HWBG).

The MMBG belongs to the combination of the metal professional associations (VMBG) beside the north German metal professional association (NMBG), hut and rolling mill professional association (HWBG) and the professional association metal south (BGMS).
