By income clearing one understands the determination of the income unemployment pay of a ii-receiver which can be considered. From certain, in "§ 11 exp. 2 SGB II are taken off from the income setting off and free allowances mentioned. Around these amounts "settled" income is then the income, which is taken into account on the requirement on ALG II. M.a.W around the amount of the settled income is decreased the requirement on ALG II.
Example of an income clearing (after old ALG - II regulation valid until 30 September 2005) with a fictitious gross earned income of (2741.65 ")

There the costs of Kfz liability insurance, expenses lump sum, Fahrgeld and insurance lump sum over 100, - euro are appropriate and the monthly income than 400 euro are higher, not only for 100 euro than basic free allowance, but actual above mentioned "expenses" from the income are taken off.
