This list treats incidents in German atomic plants. Here events are also and above all arranged, which fall under INES< 1, and to the compulsorily notifiable operational disturbances or incidents in Germany belong. The entries are to point above all operational disturbances out, with which an endangerment of the reactor safety existed directly or indirectly. 1986

• 12 September - Geesthacht in the nuclear power station was based on different places an alarming high radioactivity. The operators exclude an incident within the power station however. Starting from at the end of of 1989 leukaemia arose unusually frequently in the region. The speculations over the cause persist until today. A fire is assumed among other things in close convenient GKSS research center. See in addition leukaemia cluster Elbmarsch

1997

• Garching with Munich. In the local purification plant 1997 a concentration of radioactive cobalt are determined, which increases until 1998 by the fivefold. As source the cyclotron and the attached research establishments place themselves DO Munich out in the context of an investigation. During a faulty operation to 7.12.1998 it comes to a further, on laboratory and coworker as well as member limited release here. Measurements of the national office for environmental protection show beyond that and independently of it limit value excesses also on the surrounding surfaces and in the sewage system. Concerned also dwellings of coworkers of the research plant are, under it the health physics officer. They are still contaminated also after a first decontamination. It turns out that safety regulations were ignored and this despite admittingness were not turned off. Necessary measuring instruments functioned often not or were not missing, to cleaning equipment for components as for offices were equally used, wash and waste water on arrangement by introduction were disposed. 2001

• August - Philipps castle in the nuclear power station Philipps castle surveys the control crew when starting block 2 that the emergency cooling system does not fulfill the requirements of the operating manual. After two weeks the error is discovered. The operator company decides to switch the reactor off not. Instead the emergency cooling system is trained with current enterprise according to the requirements of the operating manual. When the incident becomes three months late public, the power station leader and two members of the board of the operator lose their posts.

• 14 December - in the nuclear power station came it to a heavy incident. How only some months later admits became, a hydrogen explosion in direct proximity had occurred to the reactor pressure vessel. No radioactive substances withdrew; if the explosion would have been however 3-4 meters more near at the core, a core melt-through had to be prevented not, so BMU. The operator HEW tried to mask the incident as far as possible; thus it was announced only with calling "„spontaneous seal leakage "“to the responsible Ministry. Only after two months the supervisory authorities succeed in visiting the "“leakage"” with switched off reactor whereby the extent of the incident is discovered. If the reactor would have been switched off correctly right after the explosion, the operator would have had to buy to go with euro spare stream at the beginning of the winter for several millions.

2004

• 18 February - Biblis in the nuclear power station Biblis occurs a disturbance, with which successively at least five of the current supply systems fail. During a storm two high voltage transmission lines turn out together near the KKW and cause a short-circuit. Thereupon a mains connection precipitates shortly thereafter, then second in the power station. The reserve connection does not function likewise. The emergency power supply of block A and the internal utilities supply system of block B fail. Thus the danger exists that the control and safety systems no more cannot be supplied with energy. The duly working emergency power Diesel generators prevent finally worse. In the past these emergency power generators were several times disturbed.
