The entrance factor is used for the computation of the pension height in the legal old age pension insurance. It amounts to with an old-age pension, those upon expiration of the calendar month of the completion 65. Lebensjahres or a determining lower pensionable age begins, 1.

A pension because of age taken up is prematurely reduced it for each month of the premature demand around 0,003, with demand after that 65. Lebensjahr increases it by 0,005.

Thus the changed running time of the pension is to become accordingly balanced.

The entrance factor finds use since 1 January 2001 also with pensions because of acquisition reduction, educating pensions and with survivor's pensions.
