The Dread Disease insurance (translates into approximately "“insurance against terrible diseases"”; also: Weight disease precaution) is a Personenversicherung, whose achievement is disbursed with entrance of (defined firmly) serious diseases of the insured person (e.g. cancer).
In Germany this insurance of few insurance companies is offered. It is to be counted however on the fact that this product will be offered in the future by more societies.
The German designation weight disease precaution is misleading something, to that extent is there when this insurance not only diseases in the actual sense (like e.g. cancer, multiple Sklerose, liver illnesses, lung illnesses, Parkinson, Arthritis, etc.) insured, but also other occurrences such as cardiac infarct, impact accumulation or consequences of heavy accidents in the covering of such a policy to be contained can.
Contrary to an inability to work insurance a firmly agreed upon insured sum is usually paid uniquely to the diagnostic position and not only with entrance possible (financial) consequences (medical costs, income losses because of inability to work). The inability to work insurance disburses only then an achievement if at the time of the inability to work the current occupation cannot be exercised any longer, whereas the Dread Disease insurance also pays if regularly the insurant suffers a serious illness (possibly after some months) in the original occupation continue working however nevertheless can.
Frequently it is discussed whether the Dread Disease insurance a replacement for an inability to work insurance represents. Into this discussion the so-called office activities are often included, since in these occupational groups an inability to work occurs clearly more rarely than occupations relating to crafts and therefore partly the Dread Disease insurance appears more meaningful. Since these two forms of the worker security exhibit overlaps in the power spectrum, however in principle different cases of achievement cover, are the individual situation of the person who can be insured to be always considered
