The consideration time depends on "§ 57 SGB VI. these is pension-legal time consideration times by an old age pension insurance is binding determined.
Usually child inheritance consideration times amount to 10 years after birth of the child. They do not extend with overlaps with other child consideration time.

Additionally child consideration times are not to be taken into account also then if (not slight) an independent activity were exercised (exception: during this activity compulsory contributions paid e.g. as a person subject to compulsory insurance of independent or during a child educating time). Whether a child consideration time is to be taken into account, if the spouse is independent, is on the individual case to examine dependent there is whether a joint contractor characteristic is present.
In the time of 1 January 1992 to 31. March 1995 existed the possibility that on request care consideration times for not acquisition-moderate care of humans in need of care were recognized. Care consideration times became however redundant with introduction of the obligation insurance for care persons ("§ 3 No. 1a SGB VI), so that they played nowadays hardly still another role. The request period for these times ran off, i.e. even if a care took place can no more care consideration time is again recognized.
The time of the education of a child up to its completed tenth Lebensjahr is with parents a consideration time, as far as the conditions for the charge of a child educating time are present also in this time. This applies exercised independent activity to times of one more for than slightly only, as far as these times are also compulsory contribution times.
