Compatibility analyses are accomplished with the reconstruction by accidents. Insurance fraud with participation of motor vehicles is in many countries, in particular in the German-speaking countries far common. Often it denies itself run genes that the damage to two vehicles fits to each other and with the spoken course of the accident in agreement to be brought is. A technical expert for analyses on accidents is then switched on. Generally the investigation is to be accomplished by the technical expert in two steps. In the first step the compatibility is examined. After given systematics with the fact it is analyzed whether the damage samples of the vehicles involved fit to each other.

The general proceeding consists of four following each other work procedures:

Morphology

Three-dimensional illustrations of the size and training of the deformations will become made, for this the photographies evaluated and to full-scale designs will transfer. Or directly to mass by a vehicle from the same series are taken and evaluated.

Impact configuration

The photographies must be searched for clear deformation samples, in order to specify the impact configuration. This impact configuration consists of cover, impact angle and elevator allocation.

Detailed damage analysis

Based on the impact configuration, which was compiled in the last work procedure, each detail of the deformation samples can be examined exactly. For each casting there must be a counterpart in the found impact position. The deformation lines of the contact contacts must agree.

Comparison of the damage intensities

In particular if an intensity comparison not when last step is accomplished, it can come to a false evaluation. Since the rigidity distribution at the body structures often strongly differently it fails frequently without exactly analysis of the structure rigidity of the contact contacts the conclusion is drawn that the damage is not compatible.

Result

If the damage does not fit, the proof is led that the accident descriptions must be wrong. If they are compatible, it must be examined in a further step whether the described course of the accident is plausible. Often vehicles are intentionally brought together, in order to obtain by means of a fictitious account with the insurance a profit. These cases can be unmasked frequently by a plausibility check as deliberate actions.
