When charge time (AZ) designates one time interval, which can be consulted for different computations by authorizations. In Germany it is consulted among other things for the calculation of pensions, in Austria for the pension computation, in addition, for unemployment insurance and other one.

For the calculation of pensions in Germany this is regulated in "§ 58 of the sixth social legislation (SGB). Charge times can be recognized for the following facts:

• To school attendance see "§58 exp. 1 No. 4 SGB VI
• To pension see "§58 exp. 1 No. 5 SGB VI

Still temporary agreements and old cases for still for further facts the charge times exist to be recognized can, these are not however in practice any longer relevant.
