The Swiss acquisition spare order (short: EO) compensates the loss of wages of military or civil service carrying out persons. This insurance was introduced during the Second World War and was called at that time still military man protection. The paid off amounts depend on the income, it however at least 43 Franconias per service day are paid.
The EO is financed by wage contributions of 0,3%, which are paid to givers together by employees and -, as well as by interest yields on the capital (2.27 Mia. Franconia in the year 2003). In the same year incomes of 932 millions Franconia expenditures of 703 millions Franconias faced, which resulted in a surplus of 229 millions. These achievements benefitted 312 ' 278 men and 6 ' 098 women.
A part of the surplus was transmitted the deficit eras IV.
