Accident is a term from the insurance law. It is used both when private insurance and in the social security.

The word accident is named the event, which causes the obligation to perform of an insurer. The entrance of the accident is thus the condition for the fact that an insurance furnishes achievements.

For example the accident "“illness"” justifies performance demands from the legal health insurance. In the legal accident insurance "“occupational illness"” and "“industrial accident"” come into consideration as accidents.
